I. Open Access Statement

Forest Engineering is an open access journal. All of its content is freely available to users and institutions, who may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link to the full text of the articles or use it for any other lawful purpose without prior permission from the Editorial Board or the author. This meets the BOAI definition of open access.

Readers are reminded that some of the articles are not yet available in full on the journal’s official website because they were published relatively long ago. Readers can access database platforms such as China National Knowledge Infrastructure to obtain the full text of the relevant articles if necessary.

II. Licensing Policy

Forest Engineering follows the Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 4.0 (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) license agreement of the Creative Commons, and allow the third-party users to reproduce, distribute, or use its OA articles in any form and medium, as long as the third-party users complies with the terms of the license agreement. If an article is copied, disseminated, used, etc., appropriate attribution must be given, a link to this license agreement must be provided, and whether any modifications have been made to the original article must be indicated. Signature may be given in any reasonable manner, but it must not imply in any way that the journal endorses the use of the article. The articles of the journal may not be used for commercial purposes. If an article of the journal is remixed, converted, or reproduced, the modified article may not be distributed. III. Copyright Policy

Upon acceptance of an article by the journal, the author must sign a Copyright License Agreement to assign the copyright of the article to the Editorial Board of Forest Engineering. The copyright of the article will be vested in the Editorial Board of Forest Engineering upon publication, but the author may continue to use the article under the following circumstances:

(1) The author are free to reproduce, distribute, or use his article in non-commercial academic discussions, exchanges, academic reports, lectures, etc., under the premise of complying with the terms of the journal’s license agreement (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0); (2) The author can apply for patents; (3) The author can republish their article in other languages six months after its official publication in Forest Engineering. When publishing in other languages, the first publication in Forest Engineering and the year, month and volume of the publication should be indicated. Both parties have the responsibility and obligation to inform each other prior to publication; (4) The authors can compile and publish their articles in a collection of writings of the author or the author's organization, but the publication in Forest Engineering and the year, month and volume of the publication should be noted; (5) Other activities as permitted and authorized by the Editorial Board.

If the article is not published by the journal, the Copyright License Agreement signed by the author will automatically expire and the copyright of the article will remain with the author.
